CSI 2* Nikki Beach class: the triumph of Jeanne Sadran

Previous Next

Deprived of a victory yesterday due to an unfortunate rail down on the last fence in the Opéra Saint Tropez class, the young French rider Jeanne Sadran seemed determined to fight it out with her thirty-five rivals this morning. She had an initial clear round with AD Reflet d'Azif in a time of 65.05 seconds on the 1m40 course designed by Uliano Vezzani and then with Une Pêche, she had the fastest round of the morning in a time of 62.84 seconds. She finished ahead of Denmark’s Gustav Christian Jacobsen (63.29 seconds) and Norway’s Ingrid Gjelsten (64.15 seconds). She was placed first and sixth in the class thanks to her two quick rounds. “I got my own back today, as I had the best time yesterday but I had one rail down on the last fence with Une Pêche. Today I really wanted to take control again! I am very satisfied with both of my horses today. Une Pêche and I know each other inside out as we already competed in the Junior category together. She's just started competing again after a year out due to injury so I’m delighted that she’s back in great shape. The Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show is a very enjoyable show. We love it and we never miss this leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour!” said the lady rider who is just 18-years-old.
